These are just to name a few.I also heard from a friend of mine (this is just a rumor) that in this game you will be able to play in battle during the Great Sith War, some other war before Star Wars Episode I, the battles from Episode I through Episode VI, and the Yuuzhan Vong War. If you don't know some of these wars, look them up on Wookieepedia. With all these different factions and changes, the game might actually look like what we want.
We can only hope, and we might even have a New Hope soon (get it?).
Star Wars Battlefront II had a famously launch, what with stealing all the thunder from what should have been the biggest gaming-related Star Wars event of the year. Electronic Arts quickly apologised for the situation without changing anything, but a caused the publisher to immediately backtrack and remove the game's microtransactions.Since then, EA has mostly gone silent - aside from a of unfortunate comments. While originally promising weekly updates, Q&A's, and dev diary communication, the Battlefront II team's presence has instead from the internet, with the only interaction coming in the way of 'we're aware' posts pertaining player-reported problems.
Now, it seems EA has gone one step further than radio silence, and it's been actively censoring the community all along. According to several reports we received, the Electronic Arts Official Battlefront II forums have been under lockdown for the past month. The community seems forbidden from criticising the game or talking about current non-technical issues, and any posts on the subject get either. Discussions that have been on-going for a while and steer too close to negative criticism also mysteriously vanish overnight, and perhaps more weirdly, the Battlefront II forum is on EA's 'All forums' page at the time of writing. The worrisome part is that this sort of thing has purposely been happening for a long time.
According to several users who spoke to GameWatcher, EA did a similar crackdown of Battlefront I forums when the, and that practice in turn originated in the days of. Unfortunately, that arbitrary ban line is still in effect, as we know of where the poster - while not exactly flattering and polite- was far from vitriolic, either.
With EA enforcing their moderator rights in order to control the narrative, players have taken to Reddit as ways of venting their frustration at both the game and the way EA has been handling feedback. Some users have taken to compiling, while others have taken the more civil approach and.One of the latter claimed to have had success in reaching a member of the team, and the conversation he shared stated that the reason for the lack of communication comes down to policies being enforced upon the team. According to with producer Ali Hassoon, there are policies in place preventing him from talking to fans in either voice or written form like he used to do. The nature of those policies or their source is not disclosed, and I've reached out to Hassoon for comment but did not receive a reply by the time of publishing. While Battlefront and EA are both no strangers to controversy, this may shed a light in a so-far under the radar attitude which sadly appears to have become common practice by part of the publisher.
Enforcing a crack down of their official forums and shunning any voice that does not agree with the company's spin on the product can have dire consequences, especially since the developers encourage players to report to the forums for feedback and have all but withdrew from Reddit and other social media sites. If these claims are true, let's hope the company starts to treat its community more like consumers, and less like enemies.More as it develops.Related Games.
In the last few days I have heard a few interesting things about the future of Star Wars: Battlefront. I was initially curious if we would see anything from Star Wars: Episode IX coming to the Star Wars: Battlefront II. According to our sources as of right now, we should not expect anything significant from the final sequel trilogy film in the game. It doesn’t mean there might not be a new skin or character down the road, but as of right now it doesn’t look like anything significant is on the way from the final Skywalker Saga film. While no one would rule out a new Rey or Kylo skin, it doesn’t sound like they have access to Star Wars: Episode IX content as of now.

With the news that Lucasfilm Games will most likely be handling how games are treated and licensed out in the future, EA and Battlefront have gone through another round of being a punching bag because of their missteps regarding the launch of Battlefront II. All of this conveniently lined up for me to ask about the future of the series if any. There is still a possible Star Wars: Battlefront III in the future. The possibility is there but as of now Star Wars: Battlefront III is in a whiteboard phase and there isn’t anything wildly significant going down at the moment. The team that is working on the current game is pretty small. However, the fact that it even has a team says something positive for Battlefront fans as if the endeavor wasn’t making any money at all, there simply wouldn’t be a team at all.
I honestly feared that they Battlefront was going to be seen as a tarnished brand or topic and I had little hope for a new one at all. But it is still on the table.
By the time it hits, if it hits, it will have three trilogies of Skywalker Saga films to pull from and another trilogy or two from other places in the Star Wars Saga to pull from as well, which is pretty exciting. There were a few things for Battlefront in the current generation that did not make it into the game. The ability for us players to get into an X-wing, land it, and jump out, fight, and get back in it wasn’t achieved. So we would be able to board capital starships, sabotage them, and fly out before the explosion and stuff like that. That is apparently a development desire for Star Wars Battlefront III, if it should happen.Hopefully Star Wars: Battlefront III happens. I’m really looking forward to the new “Titan” mode coming to Battlefront II. To reiterate, as of now it doesn’t look like there’s a huge Star Wars: Episode IX connection to Battlefront II and Battlefront III is in very early stages and may not even happen. But it is possible and not off the table which means there’s a chance.
Asuka KazamaAs you can see, series regulars like British boxer Steve Fox and South Korean Taekwondo expert Hwoarang hang out near the top of this tier list, while Kazumi and Street Fighter's Akuma are the only two newcomers added to the series to even crack the top three tiers. That said, there are some caveats to keep in mind with this list, namely that Tekken 7 has 37 playable characters according to Ranked Boost, and yet their tier list only has 29 entries, leaving eight fighters unranked.Additionally, rankings like these are only really going to make a noticeable difference in competitive play — if you're just looking to play with friends or explore the absolutely wacky story mode, you should just play whomever you think looks cool or interesting. Paul Phoenix D-Tier. Tekken 7 tier list. JACK-7 F-Tier.

I played SWBF2 for many years and still do. I have over 10,000 medals in the game. To my knowledge there was a SWBF3 but it was scrapped at 99% due to bleaping Disney buying the franchise. This current title was supposed to be called 'Star wars Battlefront' I could be wrong but it was last time I checked, if they did indeed put a 3 in the name at least they have got enough respect to acknowledge another companies works.DARCAOh I think there was almost a Battlefront 3 before that too, but Lucas Arts stopped that one.
An even worse decision than rushing KotorII.This reboot though will definitely be the test of how well EA handles its Star Wars monopoly. Latest update:'I grew up with Star Wars, watching the classic movies over and over and collecting all the toys I could afford. Since then, like most of our team here at DICE Stockholm, I’ve never really left this fantastic universe.A little over a year ago, we learned that we had the amazing opportunity to work on aStar Wars game. I’ll never forget the moment when this was officially unveiled at our company meeting with the entire studio present – you could literally touch and feel the excitement in the room. This is the spirit I feel from the team every day, whether we’re trying out the AT-AT on Hoth or racing speeder bikes through the forests of Endor.'

And i will start by saying 'The bullshit is strong with this one'.Essentially everything in there is false. The game was never canned after being completed, the game was never even near completion. I was working for the QA company that was testing the game and it was a fucking disaster. Nothing worked. @Pr1mus said: But why would i get worked up for a 4 year old cancelled game anyway?Arguments that go 'why would I lie.' Are kinda invalid on the internet, people are crazy so yeh. That said what you say seems plausible and doesn't really have any impact on something anyways.
Well all I can say is, that I hope we get a great, and I mean great, not just incrementally better or even equal, SW:BF III.As far as game journalism goes, most of it goes to shit anyways. There's few people that know what they're talking about and few that aren't at least slightly 'corrupted'. @NaDannMaGoGo: I'm not mad at the news or Joystiq, they just report what they hear and since there's never been any official statement from LucasArts they can't really know anything. Last i heard about this when i was still working there was that because of the contract they had with Free Radical they couldn't just take the project away and give it to some other Dev to finish the job. It probably just became a lawyer mess and decided to cancel it completely. It is best this way anyway. You said you wish for something great and not just incrementally better or even equal. At it's best the game was essentially Battlefront 2 with better graphics which if it did came out in late 2007 or early 2008 might have been fine but that just doesn't cut it today.
@iAmJohn: His theory about the planet-to-space transition is spot on. Free Radical had already cut a lot of features by that point while that remained. When they cut that too that became the beginning of the end.

By that point everyone, our project manager included, was getting suspicous. It didn't make sense to us that LucasArts would agree to all those cuts. When we received a new build of the game minus the vertical battlefield feature, our Project Manager decided to go straight to LucasArts to ask about this.
Later that day the tests were suspended, at least on our end. A week or so later we learned tests on the 360/PS3/PC versions were officially cancelled.I can't say anything about Rebellion taking over the project, i've got no info on that. As far as we were concerned, test on the PSP version continued normally until completion of the game.@connerthekewlkid: Can't remember exactly but tests didn't continue past June. So probably around 2 months. I believe they just cancelled the project entirely. To my understanding they never went to any other developer due to the contract they had with Free Radical.
They could always cancel it but couldn't give it to another developer or even finish it internally at LucasArts. That's what i heard in any case.
