SS: ShaheenS: Law, Feng, King, Jin, Devil Jin, KazuyaA+: Dragunov, PaulA: Lili, Josie, Hwoarang, Kazumi, Alisa, Claudio, BryanA-: Yoshimitsu, Heihachi, Steve, Xiaoyu, LarsB+: Leo, Asuka, KatarinaB: Jack-7, Lucky Chloe, GigasSource:The picture doesn't list A+/A-/B+, but I assume that's what was implied by placing them in different rows on the picture.EDIT: According to, the different rows aren't different tiers and some things are shuffled around. Seems to confirm as much.Essentially, from Shaheen to Paul is the S tier, from Lili to Lars is A the tier, and from Leo to Gigas is the B tier. It's not entirely clear, but the video suggests that there's some vertical hierarchy to the order within each tier, such that Lili is below Hwoarang, Bryan is below Kazumi, Claudio is right above Xiaoyu, and the last 2 rows are essentially separate (but Leo is still the start of B tier). Some comments/insight on the S tier placings:. Actually here's the Youtube vid:A little different. Lili/Bryan are below Hwo/Kazumi.
(The tier list part starts around 40 minutes in. The first part is him vs. Knee's playing Dragunov and wins 11 to 7.)This tier list looks like:ShaheenLaw, Feng, King, Jin, Devil Jin, KazuyaDragunov, Paul(Shaheen to Paul seem to be the S tiers))Josie, Hwoarang, Kazumi, Alisa(A tiers seem to be Josie to Claudio)Lili, BryanYoshi, Heihachi, Steve, Xiao, Lars, ClaudioLeo, Asuka, Katarina(B tiers seem to start from Leo to Gigas)Chloe, Gigas.Needless to say some stand-out WTFs there. He's the only person I've seen put Claudio on a tier with Yoshimitsu.
While I don't think Leo is as high as some I think she's at least a solid A tier, though I notice in Korea they tend to undervalue her tools.Bryan seems low from what I've seen of the character. King seems a little high(I definitely don't see him as better as Drag in this but keep in mind I'm going on raw data and videos so I might be missing something. I fully admit my eyes glaze over in King matches after seeing the one combo he has to his name.) The big '??' For me is Claudio.Law I see jump around between S and A+ with folks so he's not weird to me, just one of the opinions. I've watched some JDCR vs Leo fights and he finds her annoying, so that's a good thing. I think he was playing only Practice though so that might've been a rather biased assessment of Leo. If I had to come up with my own tier list it would look like this:S: ShaheenA+: Jin, Devil Jin(fucking hellsweeps), Feng, Claudio, Law, Kazuya, Dragunov, Bryan, JosieA: Hwo, Alisa(14-frame launcher FTW), Steve, Paul, Kazumi, Katarina, Leo, Xiaoyu, Lars, Jack-7A-: Lili, Heihachi, Yoshi, Asuka, LCF: Gigas.
Kidding.Everyone in this game's kind of monstrous that previously great characters look liked they were nerfed, when in reality they just got left out of the buff buffet. I think they should nerf Josie's post-win drama. I've listed mine a few times about-after more time to mill it over it's mostly adjusted to(no order within tiers):SS: ShaheenS: Devil Jin, Kazuya, Feng, Dragunov, Jin, Law, BryanA+: Hwoarang, King, Claudio,A: Josie, Alisa, Steve, Paul, Kazumi, Xiaoyu, Leo, LarsA- Lili, Heihachi, YoshiB+: Asuka, Jack-7, KatarinaB: LC, GigasI have a pretty big A tier because I think they're kinda close. Josie maybe I'm underestimating but I dunno-I guess even after watching Secret with her I wasn't really floored, she seems solid but maybe I'm missing something with her. Keep in mind my assessments come from observation, frame data, videos, chatting with folks, etc; haven't played, take with a mountain of salt. We're pretty close though.EDIT: You know what's pretty cool with T7's tier list, it seems a lot of folks are on the same general page, just perhaps maybe in slightly different paragraphs, with a few exceptions.
Oh, it's not my video, it's from Kuro Kuro's own channel, I think he posts it for folks to see! Can add any vid ya want to the top.Individual tier lists are of course always opinion.
I mean even 'proper' tier lists that involve a few people bouncing ideas off of each other are only opinion. I think a lot of people might look at different things. Like my top 5 is just from judging other opinions, watching matches, studying the data that I can, etc, which may not be too accurate but doesn't seem to be TOO far off from what others are saying. Now from what I've seen of the 'big players' and their tier lists, there are some constants, and some variables.
Constants I see:Shaheen topKaz, Devil Jin, Feng and Jin always under himDrag is always very high, it's just more where high he is that changesChloe and Gigas are bottomThe 'A Tier' is very large in general and consists of a good portion of the cast, though individual names can jump around in the A tiersUntil Knee, Claudio at least near the topBut then you get variables. Like Leo jumps around. Bryan jumps around. King jumps around.
I think it's a case of valuing certain things over other things that causes this. It could be he values something that he sees Claudio and Leo not having. (EDIT: Apparently he ranks King up there because of how he is on multiple floor break stages.that seems a little specific, IMO.)I admit I've always found the crafting of tier lists a lot of fun since I like seeing what people look for and such.
The results are in, survey says these are the characters in the tier list that 20 Expert level Tekken players in Japan decided on. This is of course just a single list but it combines the individual character placings that most of the players agreed on and averages them out in an easy to see visual. The Tier listing was carried out by MASTERCUP and is centered on Version H of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution which is currently the latest version of the game in arcades. The image you see above are all the names of the players that contributed to the list and you can see the actual character rankings below and over on the official MASTERCUP website.T7FR Character Ranking Ver.

ByOnline Tournament mode is one of the most exciting components in. It allows players from around the world to take part in something really big and rewarding. If you win, you get to earn special prizes and gain confidence for the upcoming world tour. But how do you approach such a tournament? Which character do you choose?Amongst the wide array of fighters in Tekken 7, there are a few must-have choices that most fans are already familiar with.
But with the introduction of 10 new characters, there is room for a couple of fresh choices, too.If you have a hard time deciding which character to play in your next tourney, or you’re trying to re-consider your initial choices, then check out these 11 top tier fighters readily available in Tekken 7. Steve FoxSteve is an unusual Tekken character that mainly utilizes simple boxing techniques - with almost no kicks - that turn out to be super effective against the current roster of fighters. Although he is still not very good against characters that spam lows, Steve can deal a lot of damage even if you don’t know how to combo right. You can use his mid mixups with the occasional low and you will do really well either in a tournament or casual match-up.
What is more, if any county leaves your kingdom, you can fight to regain it.Another argument that can be used is an integrity of the country. De jure lawIf you have reasonable rights to the particular land, and you don't possess it, you can start a war in case of getting this place. Such claimants you may gain if you're one of the legal descendants of this territory or if someone took it from your parents. Crusader kings 2 occupied territory 2.
He can easily counter almost any combo, while his own Rage Art is also quite impressive and easy to activate (left punch + right punch). HwoarangThe famous Hwoarang returns with a blast in Tekken 7. His main technique is Taekwondo, which allows him to execute crazy fast pokes that can finish the fight really quickly. Mastering Hwoarang as your main character isn’t easy, but it is definitely rewarding. His Flamingo stance is probably the most unique in the entire series, as it activates in just one data frame, so you can input commands right away. You can also block while staying in Flamingo, but then the stance will be canceled. As for his Rage Art (down + left kick + right kick), be sure to check it out below.
KingThis iconic character is the only wrestler in Tekken 7, which automatically gives him advantage over any other characters due to his unconventional move set. He's actually so strong that some of his damage had to be nerfed, such as u/f+3 (up / forward + left kick). But his characteristic throws still remain some of his most powerful tricks - either his generic throws (left kick + right kick; left punch + right punch) or command throws (left/down/right + right punch + right kick).King’s Rage Art (down/forward + left punch + right punch) is every wrestling fan’s dream.
Bryan FuryA furious kickboxer, Bryan is known for his oppressive, fast-paced kicks and punches. Your main strategy with Bryan should revolve around spamming b+2+1 (back + right punch + left punch).
Just don’t leave your opponents time to react: quickly block any of their mids or lows. Most players will have no idea how to resist a strong bully like Bryan and will quickly give up. The only other character that could withstand Bryan is King, so keep that in mind. Also, check out his Rage Art (down/forward + left punch + right punch) if you want to experience Bryan’s intensity. Kazuya MishimaIf you are well-familiar with the lore of the Tekken series, you will know that Kazuya won the very first King of Iron Fist Tournament, which should already make him the rightful choice for your own tournament run.His main style is centered in Karate, but in fact, Kazuya can do so much more than that. His combos are very elaborate and require a lot of skill and practice. Probably the hardest thing to accomplish is to dash during combos, which is possible by forward dashing (f,F) and holding the F. After that, you can finish off any combo you like.Below you can witness Kazuya’s devil form during his Rage Art (down/forward + left punch + right punch).
AkumaHere’s a new character well, at least for the Tekken series. Akuma is a well-known Ansatsuken specialist from Street Fighter, meaning that his combos are all designed to do one thing – finish the opponent at once. This method is beautifully expressed in his Rage Art (left punch + left punch + forward + left kick + right punch). Akuma is definitely not your typical Tekken fighter, as his move set is very different from the rest of the more familiar Tekken characters. But it doesn’t make him weak at all - on the contrary, he is actually very strong. Kazumi MishimaKazumi is a completely new character and brings her own peculiar blend of Karate styles to the game. It is important to mention that Kazumi might not have the strongest moves, but they are definitely the most beautiful ones.
So if you’re looking to add an aesthetic component to your fights, then definitely choose Kazumi. She is also the perfect choice for beginners, because her move set is quite limited. But in the right hands, she can go really far!Kazumi’s Rage Art (down + left punch + right punch) reflects her style really well.

Heihachi MishimaHeihachi, the central character of the Tekken series, had to be listed here. After so many iterations in the series, Bandai Namco does a great job of pushing Heihachi to the limit by introducing new, amazing moves. One of them is the infamous d+2+3 (down + right punch + left kick) that can insta-kill an opponent from a distance - if their life total is low enough. It is incredible how Heihachi can still be relevant and so well-balanced even after so many years. If you enjoy the classic Tekken fighting style, or you are generally a nostalgic player, then this would be your choice for the tourney. His Rage Art (down + left punch + right punch) cannot be missed either. Sergei DragunovDragunov, a Russian special operative, was first introduced in Tekken 5. He uses a modified offensive style of the Sambo martial art called “Commando Sambo.” His combos mainly consist of long strings of short pokes that create an unbreakable wall (e.g.
Df+2, f+4,4,3, f+1, f+3, f+1, f,F+2, B, f+3, cd+1+2).He’s got a huge arsenal of those that work great against most other fighters. Paradoxically, his Rage Art (down + left punch + right punch) is a heavy blow that smashes opponents right into the ground. So, if you're looking for some serious competition, then consider Steve, Hwoarang, or Marshall. If you want to learn the game with the best character, then take into account Kazumi, Heihachi, or Nina.
